Who We Are

frontHistory of YCF

In 1981, Pastors Jack and Dee Cashman graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK and felt the call from God to come back to York to minister. York Christian Fellowship was founded in 1984. First meeting at the York College campus, to the York Fairgrounds, to Valleyview Elementary, to the Holiday Inn and now in our very own building on 110 Weldon Drive, Pastors Jack and Dee have stayed true to his vision of “bringing the church into the home, through Worship, the Word and the Work of God.

With honor, celebration and yet sadness, YCF announced the passing of Pastor Jack Cashman from this life into the next on July 18th, 2009. We are sad to lose the presence of our pastor, friend, father, and brother. We are thankful, however, for his life, love, and influence on the individuals and ministries he inspired for the last 28 years.

Probably nothing would have thrilled Pastor Jack more than to see his family and friends come along side the vision of YCF and finish what He started. He spend his life teaching and training believers to reach the lost, always rallying others to join him.

We will never be the same because of Pastor Jack Cashman. As with any life given in service to Christ, the effects of his life and legacy of his ministry at YCF continue through his wife Pastor Dee Cashman, his daughter Pastor Sheri Greene, his friends and elders — and through the countless others who were inspired by him.

YCF’s Vision

Experience God’s love as we “Gather in Worship, Grow in the Word, and then Go to do the Work of God.” We believe that God has a special and unique plan for your life, and we believe that it is God’s will for you to know precisely what it is and to learn to walk in the power and reality of it. Our mission at York Christian Fellowship is to help you to discover that plan and purpose, move to maturity, and bring His power and presence to your home and community.
